OLED for Machine Vision
What is an OLED?
OLED stands for Organic Light-Emitting Diode and has a layer with emissive electroluminescent properties containing organic compound which differentiates from the standard LED. With this unique characteristic, it is widely found in digital displays such as smartphones, television screens, computer monitors and portable game consoles. The reason behind OLED being a popular option across many devices is its ability to allow them to be less bulky and thin which enables them to save space. On top of that, it is bendable and can be structured in a curve position.
Apart from being an electronic device component, OLED is gradually establishing itself as a machine vision illumination in medical and automotive manufacturing industries. Additionally, OLED lighting also has very low power consumption, a wide viewing angle and is also extremely flexible. In fact, the automotive industry has been a key player in the OLED market as many car products are making more use of efficient lighting as lighting is becoming a key feature of a car.
We are pleased to announce that CCS has newly launched our own OLED products with 4 different series with a total of 13 models for various machine vision applications.
This series achieves the brightness and uniformity required for machine vision applications.
It is lightweight, has low heat next-generation light source and is bendable where its radius can be freely designed upon request. The inner and outer surface of the lighting has emission available, and it notifies the user regarding recommended lighting replacement periods by connecting to a dedicated controller.
Applications include backlighting of a transparent workpiece moving on a circular trail and uniform direct illumination of a cylindrical workplace.
This is a dedicated controller for the OLF-LT / OLB-LT Series that comes in 2 models that has a predictive maintenance function which is provided by automatically recognizing connected lighting and accumulating data on lighting usage.
This series comes in a flat light design that comes in red and white emitting colours as well as expanding the possibilities for lighting installation with a 3mm thin design.
Like the OLB-LT series, it is lightweight, has low heat next-generation light source and also notifies the user regarding recommended lighting replacement periods by connecting to a dedicated controller.
This series is dedicated extension cable for the OLF-LT series and the OLB-LT series which has a lineup of 2m, 3m and 5m. A 1m cable will be supplied with this lighting.
